Martin Luther King Jr. led protestors who were fighting for African Americans to have the right to vote. The National Voting Rights Museum and Institute is also nearby. Selma Interpretive Center is another popular attraction, since it has exhibits and artwork that detail significant events in the history of the city. You can also learn more about the people and events that have shaped the city of Selma by paying a visit to Brown Chapel AME Church.
