I own a business in Yucaipa and have noticed the majority of the customers are friendly..but when they enter most local businesses, they do NOT READ signs! They tend to ignore posted rules and important notes regarding rules or instructions. I appreciate the fact that the people ...Read More

Yucaipa has a small town atmosphere and the people are unpretentious. Everyone is friendly! Stand in line at a grocery store and you're likely to make a new friend. We've been here for just over a year and we know so many new people by name and have been to several friend's ho ...Read More

The mountains are gorgeous every day in every weather. You can get to the olde world atmosphere of Oak Glen--apple country-- in just a few minutes or to a quiet lake in 20. There's hiking and fishing up in the mountains and we even have a manmade lake near the center of town for swimming and fishing. Pick your own berries or order fresh buffalo and homemade apple pies. Taste ciders and apples and jams at the apple warehouses or look for treasures at the very reasonably priced antique stores--there are over 15 in the village of Yucaipa alone!!
Love it here! Weather is perfect most of the year and even though it gets hot during the day it usually cools down at night. You might see horses trotting along the roads or possums and raccoons at night.
Growing vegetables and fruit is easy and most people have something edible in their yards. We have many citrus trees and get fruit almost year round. Tomatoes and greens grow exceedingly well as well as most soft fruits. A great place to bring up kids with schools rating pretty high on the national scale.
Great restaurants and a few fast food places as well as Ross, Staples, 99Cents, Rite Aid, Staters, Vons, Fresh and Easy, TJ Max, Starbucks, Ace Hardware, Thrift stores and many others.
The Yucaipa park is beautifully kept and home to many little league baseball and other sports. There are hiking trails galore and even a golf course!
You feel like you're in the country with horses and even cattle just a short distance from the stores. And yet it's only 70 miles to Pasadena and 2 hours to Balboa Island. Palm Springs is only a 45 minute drive and there are outlet stores even closer both East and West. You can go surfing in the ocean in the morning and skiing in the mountains in the afternoon.
