Life in Plainview Tx.-Laid-Back and Family Oriented 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) Life in Plainview is not for you if you want a fast-paced lifestyle or if you're looking for a career that will bring you fame and fortune. I love this city because it's small and laidback. Nobody is ever in a hurry and the people are polite but a little old-fashioned. Public tra ...Read More nsportation is practically nonexistent and most jobs are in the working class sector such as restaurants, warehouses, and trucking, but there are some professional jobs if you know the right people.

What this city has that you won't find in the big city is peace and quiet, church Sundays, and a very low crime rate. It's a good place to raise a family especially if you have old school family values. There is a lot of community activities and fun things to do for the whole family especially in summer. The summers in Plainview can get hot and the winters cold, but you get a full experience of seasons. for an older couple looking to settle down or for someone who just enjoys the small town country life- Plainview Tx. is the place to be.
