Being next door to Memphis, crime has arrived and it is not as safe. My neighborhood has 3 teenagers roaming around during school hours, they stand behind people's bushes to pee, they smoke blunts and language is atrocious so I no longer want to work in my yard. It has become a ...Read More
neighborhood I don't want to live in. Police respond quickly, Old Towne is great but not managed well, not Business friendly so more would come. Community spirit seems dimmed. Has a fledgling Hospital, ER okay, Nice restaurants Side Street, Japanese Fusion etc. Good Bakery. Excellent Dog Park, Animal Control excellent with the animals work well with the little resources the City provides. Public Works slow but to be expected. Several reputable Car repairs.

Olive Branch is a growing, diverse and very affordable place to live. MS has a very low state income tax rate - partially avoidable if you put money in your children's MS 529 college savings plan - and properties in Olive Branch seem to be a little less expensive than in the neig ...Read More
hboring, comparable cities in TN. You also avoid the higher crime rates and problems that seem prevalent in and around those same areas in TN. My safety concerns about moving to this part of the county are definitely lower given the professional and present approach of local law enforcement. Much of the inappropriate conduct that I see in TN seems minuscule or nonexistent in Olive Branch.

I've been living in Olive Branch, which is very close to the Tennessee border, for a while now. The city itself is great to live, and I don't have many complaints about it. The closest city is Memphis, and besides that is has a small town vibe in a good way.

ffluent and has a high standard of living. The cost of living, average income, and real estate prices are all well above the average for the rest of Missouri. You're likely to find a good job here in Olive Branch, but may be better off in a different city if you'd like to continue your education.
The variety of shopping and restaurants leaves a little be desired, besides the local Walmart. Instead, Olive Branch has a number of parks and three country clubs to choose from. The Olive Branch Country Club and the adjoining park is the best area in Olive Branch in my opinion.
