Newton, A Growing, Quiet Town Of Industry 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) Newton has a great downtown area, lined with nice restaurants and shops along Northwest Blvd and Main Ave. Whether you're looking for a nice tavern, great steak, Chinese food, Southern cuisine, or want something quick from a fast food joint, downtown has you covered.

The best
...Read More areas in Newton, SC would have to be the area near Broyhill Park or the downtown area in general. A lot of the industry in the area comes from WestRock, Special Metals, Comm/Scope, and MDI. Because of that, you'll find a lot of people who are involved with material science, manufacturing, and shipping.

This means that the town is peaceful, but busy. There's a bit of crime in the area, but a lot of it comes from Hickory and usually in the drug world. Hey, not my kind of business, but poppy plants are a thing in fertile soil I guess.

Living in Newton itself doesn't involve a lot of those problems. It does have a low of beautiful forestry that hugs the 19th century buildings and the springing new buildings that have begun to sprout throughout the area. Read Less
