Muscatine, Iowa A Typical Midwestern City 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) Muscatine, Iowa is the prototypical small city in the Midwest. While not for everyone, I enjoyed my time in Muscatine and would recommend it to any who wish to get out of the big city but still enjoy some of what a city has to offer.

Muscatine is located in Muscatine County and

It is located just 30 miles west of Davenport, which is part of the Quad Cities where shopping, restaurants, and night life spots are in abundant.

Muscatine has many parks that are designed for families and those who enjoy hiking and trails. It is located on the banks of the Mighty Mississippi River, which is a haven for those who enjoys fishing, water sports, and the like. All in all, Muscatine's slow pace makes it a great place to raise a family. Read Less
