Morgantown, West Virginia, Wild or Wonderful? 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) Just south of the Pennsylvania border along Interstate 79 lies Morgantown, West Virginia, a city that has been on the rise over the course of the past few years. I absolutely love living in Morgantown. There is always something to do. Whether it be going for a hike at Cheat Lake ...Read More or heading into downtown for a nice meal and cocktail at Tin 202, there is something for just about everyone.

The nightlife is most likely best for the aged 21 and over crowd since the famous, or infamous depending on who you speak with, West Virginia University calls Morgantown home. Morgantown being a, “College town,” means that there are quite a few more renters than there are homeowners, and the cost of home ownership has risen over the past five years.

I have learned the hard way that winter can make living in Morgantown especially difficult! Low temperatures and a hefty amount of snow makes commuting unpredictable at best. However, do not let the temperature stop you, because the sites around Morgantown still look beautiful under a blanket of snow. Read Less
