This place is trash. Move away as soon as you can. Don't even move here if you can help it. Crime is awful. Restaurants are awful. Education is awful. ...Read More

I have called Meridian, MS my home for over 30 years. I discover something new each time I delve a little farther into the history of the city and explore what the city has to offer. Some might say that there are barriers to overcome, but I don't see this in such a beautiful area ...Read More
I have lived in my entire life. There aren't as many factories as there once was, so the people who live here usually have to get a job in a retail store or doing something of that nature. However, the people are friendly, and it's a town that looks out for each other.
The housing situation isn't like the small rural area that I would enjoy. Instead, it's a lot of apartment buildings, but I've never had any trouble with the people who live in the complex I am in, and I haven't heard of many other issues from the complexes surrounding mine. Bonita Lakes Park is a place to visit if you want to sit along a river bank and enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature. There are several benches and trails so that you don't get off track while in the park.
If you enjoy looking at older items, then the Antique Mall of Meridian is somewhere to visit. There are several vendors that have set up booths and tables in what appears to be a large warehouse. The design is easy to follow, and you can find just about anything that you're looking for in the way of antiques, such as lamps, records and pictures for the wall. The Industrial Heritage Museum is another location with a lot of history about the state and the city.
