Lansing offers residents a high quality of life with many outdoor attractions during both the summer and winter months. Michigan State University is the area's top employer, and the Spartans are one of the top engineering schools in the state. In addition to being a good academic school, they are consistently have one of the best football teams and basketball teams in the entire Big Ten Conference.
