These landlords charge rents that align exactly with what they know military personnel can afford, creating a cycle where service members struggle to build financial stability. For those who wish to buy a home, the market offers little hope, as properties are quickly snapped up by investors. Instead of fostering homeownership and long-term stability, these investors are focusing on creating more rental properties in the form of overpriced "tiny homes." While these homes may seem innovative, they are small and overpriced, further limiting opportunities for military families to achieve financial security.

Knob Noster does have some redeeming qualities, such as its local shops, restaurants, and proximity to a larger college town just up the road. These amenities add convenience and some vibrancy to the area. However, the underlying issues in the housing market overshadow the potential charm of this military-centered town.

For Knob Noster to truly support its military community, there needs to be a shift toward encouraging homeownership and financial growth, rather than perpetuating a rental economy that stunts the financial liftoff of those who serve our country. Read Less
