We left California for the Milwaukee area when my husband was offered a job opportunity. I literally put in my “best case scenario” features for a home and zoomed out to see houses available that fit what we wanted within a half hour of the city: four bedrooms, at least a few ...Read More
acres, and views of water among the things that would make a dream home. We chose a house in Grafton and could not be happier. We have a cute little downtown, fabulous, fully-open schools, loads of community and outdoor activities, and a safe, small town feel. All with a town center that has a Costco and Target. I’m set! We also love exploring the nearby towns, especially Port Washington and Cedarburg, both of which have awesome downtowns with great dining and drinking. Our kids LOVE the snow and are taking up all sorts of new hobbies including archery and ice skating. We love being 5 minutes from Lake Michigan and are so excited about our first summer here!

Grafton, WI is a wonderfully slow paced and quiet village to live in that's only about 20 miles from Milwaukee. While Grafton, WI itself is a quiet and slow paced town, finding something to do is not a far drive. There's hardly any crime at all, the schools are thriving, and it's ...Read More
not too difficult to make a living whether you stay in town, work at home, or drive to the outskirts of Wisconsin for work.
The summers are fairly cold and the winters are typically drenched in piles of snow, but if you like winter weather and have thick blood you'll fit right in. There's so many beautiful homes that scatter Grafton and theres a giant river that runs right through the center of town.
Everything there is to do in Grafton either includes a park, time at the river, or visiting a business down near the river front. There's many places to catch a bite to eat, a gym, and beautiful scenery all around. Going to school in Grafton is great too; everyone is seeking to graduate and improve upon the foundation given to us by our community. Grafton is a wonderful home!
