The central village of this community has a great bookstore and nice outdoor beer garden with live music. Gardens in village are lovely. Folk art and animals are unique and fun. The sandwich and coffee shop (The Goat) is nice to have although the decor is neither attractive nor c ...Read More
omfortable and for some reason they stopped serving the chopped salads that everybody loved. This is supposedly a retirement community but many major changes are made at discretion of developer without consulting residents. The development company (Fitch) is building a lot of increasingly bland houses with vinyl siding and boring finishes that are overpriced and below finishing standards for area builders. The developer does not understand the needs of young-at-heart active retirees. For example they just closed their lovely casual bar and restaurant for evening services without considering concerns of residents, who now have to drive to find a decent bar or restaurant and who would have supported the restaurant had it served a less bizzare and healthier menu. The inn and 5 star restaurant are so expensive they can't serve the needs of residents. There is constant construction,in an already huge development. The trails are limited and don't wind through many of the neighborhoods and although there are thousands of homes and many have dogs, there are only two dog waste stations, always full, both in the central village. The merchandise in the developer-owned shop is ridiculously expensive. The only fitness center available is nice not often has broken equipment and extremely limited hours. I fell in love with this place when I decided to come here five years ago but I think it is losing its charm because the developer seems more interested in growth and making money than in creating a top retirement community.
