Horrible place to live 1 rating By Anonymous ( Oct 27, 2021) I've been trying to leave for years but cannot sell the cheapest house in the county, ever. Horrible horrible place to live. Everything about it is awful: the climate is winter about 75% of the time, the people are awful and extremely unfriendly- been here 20 years and have no fr ...Read More iends. Cost of living is exorbitant, decent jobs are non existent. No place to shop. The schools are horrible. The people who run the place are morons. The cops ignore crime and harass people who are obeying the law and refuse to investigate anything unless you provide them with documentation first. I could go on and on but it can be summed up succinctly: there is nothing good except the view (and that only applies for the short time you notice the view when you first come here. After that, it sort of mocks you, like, " ha ha, you moved here for the view and now you know that's all there is." Read Less
Beautiful but Boring 2.5 rating By Anonymous ( Dec 04, 2019) Durango, Colorado has all the mountains cites you can see, has all the parks you need, highest restaurants and weed stores per capital but gets boring kinda quick. The shopping here is not the greatest. Bunch of local shops but most them sell the same thing, bunch of restaurants ...Read More but super over priced for the locals to eat at. Few chained restaurants that are able to be enjoyed but not many. Nightlife here is not really there, few bars are open up at night but just a couple, usually sun down your at home cause of how little there is to do at night (unless you go out to eat but still go home after) Community events are very fun, they have quite a few a year bring the community together. Everyone is friendly. Lots of people are living in such a small space. Read Less
