When you think of Denver, you usually picture the mountains in Colorado. But alas, there truly is a Denver of North Carolina! Sitting on the west side of Lake Norman, and around 30-45 minutes from Charlotte, the town was initially called "Dry Pond' due to its swampy zone.

ing a wide mixture of things to do, attractions and entertainment in view of its area, fishers, boaters and lake lovers rejoice, Denver is an extraordinary spot to live at. Just 30-45 minutes from Charlotte lets you cruise over to the city to work or to play. Town celebrations have incorporated the yearly Strawberry Festival held in May and the Denver Days Festival held each September.
The Great Smoky Mountains with their trails, lovely vistas, and huge parks are only a couple hours from Denver. Also a feature of Denver are the annual Rock Springs Camp Meetings, held at Rock Springs Campground. Denver has been hosting these family-fun Christian events for over 200 years!
