Calexico is a culturally diverse city, with the majority of its residents being hispanic. One of my favorite things about Calexico is the fact that its incredibly easy to get to Mexico. Just a two hour drive to some of Mexico's beautiful beach towns, heading to Mexico for a weekend trip is incredibly simple. This makes Calexico a good mix of true Mexican culture as well as true American culture.
A downside to living in Calexico is that Calexico real estate is hard to come by. However houses in the county are much cheaper than most of California, with houses available for rent at under 1,000 dollars a month.
