RE: little puerto rico 0.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jul 13, 2019) 5 rating By Anonymous ( Jan 18, 2024) You are either a racist piece of shit or maybe a Puerto Rican tore your wife`s ass apart while you were at work, Cabrón. Get a life, Pendejo! ...Read More Read Less
Impossible to rate a place as big as Kissimmee! 3 rating By Anonymous ( Oct 01, 2019) When people try to rate Kissimmee, they rate the old downtown, or they rate the touristy area west of downtown, or they rate just their own neighborhood. Kissimmee city limits are smaller, but I live outside the city limits and I'm still considered to be a resident of Kissimmee. ...Read More Really, almost the entire northern border of Osceola County is Kissimmee, so how do you rate that? Do you want to rate the schools? Florida school districts are made up of the entire county, so there's a HUGE difference from one area to another. Do you want to rate the walkability or public transport? If you're downtown, or in the "maingate" area near Walt Disney World, every street has sidewalks and the busses run frequently. Over on the east side of Kissimmee, we rarely see sidewalks and the busses only run on a few streets--and where they do run, bus stops are off in the weeds with no cover from the sun or frequent afternoon thunderstorms! If someone tells you, "oh, don't go to Kissimmee, it's horrible," or "I live in Kissimmee, you should come, you'll love it," you need to find out more. I love my more rural area, but it does make it hard for people to get around without a car. My son hates where we live--guess who doesn't have a car? You really need to look very closely at people's ratings and figure out how large the area is they're rating, and how they can rate a larger area as if it's all the same. Read Less

It is sunny and there are lot of places to eat! 2.5 rating By undeux_treschatalones ( Apr 16, 2014) Well, first I will say that many of the "neighbors" we have are visiting or are seasonal. A few of our neighbors are from England, as far as the actual townhouse owners who also frequent where we live. We also have owners from plenty of other places, including from China. The one ...Read More s that visit the most though are English (and /or Scottish). We get seasonal and shorter visitors from Canada and many most northern states, also. Now, where we are at the people, even short-term vacationers often stay at least 2 weeks.

Pros:
NO dressy clothes
No snow shoveling
Nice, although not dirt -cheap outlets. Many! And some "upscale" ones
Lots of cheap-ish (in value) restaurants.
The parks and all
Gators and rich wildlife
You might learn some Spanish!

Cons:
The restaurants need to be combed through a lot to find good quality
Some people think the locals are friendly, truth be told, there are not many " locals." Many are warm, but don't be expecting the old "southern hospitality" too much or you will be let down
While improving, the natural "life," non- theme parks, etc are minimal/hard to find.

I think there are nice parts are not-as-nice. It is very busy all through the main road here (192). So busy that is something to plan around. Kissimmee has seen better days, however, it is improving! Read Less

Kissimmee, FL - Loved It! 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jul 25, 2012) I had lived in Kissimmee, Florida for eight years after I had graduated from college. Let me just say that I absolutely loved this city, and I still pay frequent visits there because it was where I made many of my friends.

The first thing that you will notice about this city is
...Read More that they have eight different restaurants. Now to most people from the city, that is probably a laughable amount of restaurants. I will agree that that is a miniscule amount of restaurants, however, the food that is there is fantastic. I'll take quality over quantity any day. If you are looking for a good place to take your kids, then you should try out Manuel's. This is a very popular restaurant and especially kid friendly.

Another one of the notable features of Kissimmee, Florida is that if you choose to live here, you will be close to Amusement. The nice thing about this amusement park is that you will have 15 different rides, and the admission is free so you will not have to pay any money to get into the amusement park. I found that this was a great place to go to spend the day. From Kissimmee, Florida you are also only four miles from Disney World. This in itself makes the location a great place to visit.

For those who like shopping (My wife is an avid shopper), you will have over 75 different specialty shops that are available to you in Kissimmee, Florida. That is going to give you many options when it comes to shopping, and along with the beautiful Florida sunshine you cannot go wrong. You could even spend the day at the beach if you wanted to. Florida is known for their beautiful people at the beaches, and I will attest that this is completely true.

The bottom line is that Kissimmee, Florida was a great place to live. The people are friendly, and you will not run out of activities to do while you are here. There are so many positive things that I can say about this beautiful location.
