If people could live like we did in the 50's and 60's like we did in small towns in Alabama things would be so much better. Our lives were centered around family, friends, church and town loyalty. You see we all knew each other. Your kids were extremely safe. I remember being ...Read More
able to wander around town as a kid in perfect freedom without any fear. You could go in stores, the owners knew you. If you ever misbehaved by yourself in town, don't worry, your parents would find out (before you got back home).
Gordo was such a warm and wonderful place, a haven for kids.
